The Artisans

FolkCharm Crafts launched as a project in May 2014 and began its operations as FolkCharm Co.,Ltd. in February 2016. We try hard to continuously increase the depth of engagement of home-based women workers we work with, both in rural and urban Thailand.

In Loei Province, we partner with with 8 women farmers in Sri Charoen Village of Phuluang District who grow chemical-free natural white and brown cotton for us. Also in Loei, about 26
weavers in Wangsaphung District's 4 villages under Lum Nam Huey Natural Cotton Weaving Group.

Back in the cities, we are working with 4 home-based tailors who are responsible for our apparels. And in collaboration with Ajarn Punn, a trainer from Bangkapi Vocational Training Center, we work with her best students to carefully craft bags, totes and accessories from remaining hand-woven fabric from our tailors.

FolkCharms partners with
Bhukram, another social enterprise in Phuphan, Sakonnakhon, who supply us their purely natural indigo dyed handspun-handwoven textiles for our ‘ai collection’.
